SIRSA, a leading B2B Italian family-run company that operates in the field of processing and molding of plastic materials, offering a wide range of products designed for home, garden, and industrial use, approached us with a challenge: their website, designed over two decades ago, was not effectively representing their extensive range of services and products. The site's outdated visual design and inadequate information dissemination hindered customer engagement and accessibility.

Our solution? A modern, interactive and complete website that responds to all of its users needs.

Research and Analysis:

Conducting in-depth research, I began by analyzing user feedback and navigating through the existing website to understand user pain points.

The feedback revealed issues such as difficulty in navigation, unclear sections, challenges in locating specific products, and a lack of comprehensive information on services:

  •    Navigation Complexity: Users found it challenging to navigate through the website due to a convoluted structure and unclear menu options.
  •    Inadequate Product Information: The lack of detailed product descriptions, specifications, and visuals made it hard for potential clients to make     informed decisions.
  •    Obscured Service Offerings: The website did not effectively showcase the full range of services offered by SIRSA, leaving potential clients unaware     of the company's capabilities.

It all started from digital wireframes.

The design phase commenced with comprehensive planning, sketching, wireframing, and culminated in detailed mockups:

These digital wireframes that represented the low-fi prototype of the project later evolved into mockups:
Objectives of the Project:

The primary goal was to enhance the user experience by addressing the identified challenges.

The project objectives were outlined as follows:

  •    Streamline Navigation: Redesign the website's architecture to create an intuitive and user-friendly navigation system.
  •    Comprehensive Product Display: Develop comprehensive product pages with detailed descriptions, specifications, high-quality images, and     downloadable data sheets.
  •    Clarity in Service Presentation: Design a dedicated page that vividly outlines all the services offered by SIRSA, elucidating their nature and scope.

Solution Proposed:

Implementation and Results:

Upon implementing the redesigned website, notable improvements were observed:

  •    User Engagement Boost: Users reported a more enjoyable browsing experience, leading to increased time spent on the site. Suppliers and clients have finally found it to be comprehensive of all the products offered, detailed, organized, and visually appealing, making their work and order completion easier.
  •    Career: candidates now have the opportunity to easily apply after viewing open positions and their requirements.
  •    Clarity: Navigation is smooth and seamless, with images providing a glimpse into what the company represents, and sections are clear.

New Addition:

After a few months from the launch, discussions began regarding the incorporation of a B2C branch, in addition to the B2B sales, focusing on winter products, primarily sleds, mainly through the Amazon platform.

As a result, the project has also evolved, now featuring a new section with prominent branding and a direct link to the purchasing platform.
